Self-Reflection: Where I'm At & Where I'm Headed.

It seems like we are coming into a season of change: Spring is gently turning into Summer, aspects of the pandemic are evolving, and the school year will be coming to an end. Now that you are a few weeks into your last quarter, it may be a good time to sit back and check in with yourself. How are you feeling about the change happening around you? Are you feeling accomplished? Are you feeling safe? Are you feeling whole?

"Self-reflection brings perspective to our lives. It helps us learn, grow, appreciate and understand."

Questions To Check In With:

  • Mind - Do you feel clear-headed and engaged in your life?

  • Body - Does your body feel healthy, nourished, and strong?

  • Soul - Do you feel inner peace?

  • Work - Do you feel interested in or fulfilled by your work?

  • School - Do you feel supported in your education or by your teachers/faculty?

  • Society - Do you feel accepted in your community?

  • Play - Do you feel joyful? Are you engaging in activities that bring you joy?

  • Love - Do you feel positive about the relationships in your life?

  • Self - Are you able to identify positive qualities about yourself?

These questions can be used to examine the different aspects occurring in your life. If you answered these questions, reflect on how you felt after. Were you able to identify areas in your life that may need adjusted? Were you able to identify areas in your life that encourage you to be your best self? What can you do with this information?

Here Are A Few More Questions To Consider:

Am I using my time wisely?

Am I taking anything for granted?

Am I living true to myself?

Am I waking up in the morning ready to take on the day?

Am I thinking negative thoughts before I fall asleep?

Am I letting matters that are out of my control stress me out?

Am I achieving the goals that I’ve set for myself?

After answering these questions, TAKE A DEEP BREATH. Even though reflection can be difficult, it is important to get to know yourself and find out what may be missing. You have the power to make changes that enhance your happiness and well-being. You have the power to be whoever you want to be.
